Public Pension Calculator
Calculate your monthly pension in retirement age from the German public pension (Deutsche Rentenversicherung) to know how much you need to save additionally.
How it works
Fill in a few conditions
First, you have to state your date of birth (Geburtsdatum) and the time since you started working in Germany (Wann haben Sie angefangen zu arbeiten). The next questions are whether you have any gaps in your insurance history (Lücken im Versicherungsverlauf), which you must state in months, when you would like to retire (Wann möchten Sie in Rente gehen?) and what your gross monthly salary is (Monatsbruttoentgelt). You must also answer how much money you will need each month in retirement (Wie viel eld benötigen Sie monatlich im Ruhestand), whether you are liable for church tax (Kirchensteuer), and which state you come from (Bundesland). Finally, you need to enter the inflation rate you are assuming (Inflationsrate).

Clicking on “berechnen” will show you the monthly premium that you will get from the government in retirement. The slope shows how much you will get compared to how much you will need. The right side shows you, how much your retirement gap will be.
